Flex HR is a fractional people partner for Australian founders and operators. We embed with your leadership team, plug into your tools, and run hiring, onboarding, and people ops at the cadence you actually need — without the cost of a full-time HR lead.

We started Flex HR after years of watching Australian founders make the same trade-off: too small for a full-time Head of People, too established for a recruiter to be enough. Consultants drop a deck and leave. Recruiters charge per hire and disappear after offer. Neither is what an early team actually needs.

So we built a flat retainer model with senior operators only. You get someone in your Slack, your hiring loops, and your leadership meetings — Fair Work-compliant, embedded for the long term, no per-hire markup, two weeks' notice to pause or end.

Who we are

How we work

  • Flat retainer. Monthly fee for an agreed cadence. No per-hire fees, no lock-ins.
